Yep. Lexington's gay. Randomly found out a few days ago that Greg Weisman, who created disney's Gargoyles, said he'd seen Lexington as a gay character since the mid nineties. At the time he knew better than to even try to hint at it in the show, as gargoyles was pushing limits as it was. Now there's this gargoyles comic coming out this summer, so here's hoping they let Lex be open in it. This is probably old news to more hardcore gargoyles fans, but yeah, it's cool.

And this is big news to me cause... OMFG when I was twelve Lexington was my fave character EVAH Ilovedhimsomuch!

*ahem* Heh, yeah, fond childhood memories. It's all heartwarming and stuff to find out I have that one more thing in common with a character I used to relate to and all.

Lexington/Gargoyles and all belong to Disney

I was pretty stoked when I found this out recently. It really goes to show how forward-thinking Greg Weisman is. It was a pretty ballsy move, and even re-watching the old episodes, I'll always consider him a gay character.

although unless it ties in with the plot in any way, why bother with his orientation? For example, people often asked if Ren and Stimpy were gay, which the creator responded, "I don't know, that's their business" and he had a point. Their romantic relationship really wasn't important to the show, so why bother with it. Now if there is romance involved, that is a much different story.............

This was the first picture i ever saw of Lexington and what got me into the series. I saw this about 5 years ago, had no idea what it was but thought the character was really cute, so i looked him up and found the series and now I love Gargoyles. And that all started with this drawing...

Yes, I heard that too! Greg Weisman, who created the Gargolyes-Series, said it in a few interviews.

It would be great, if Disney would support that idea, so a gay Lex wouldn´t be just the wish of some Fangirls and Rule 34-material -____-
